Main Hall

Welcome to the main hall, the thrown room and meeting place of anything imortant needing to be discussed with the king,
and/or royal family. This is were anyone can express their feelings to the kingdom.

Lady Lyenisa walked into the hall, looking up at the walls, wishing just to be well again.

"My lady you shouldn't be walking around in your current state." Corus said to the young woman, not thet he was much older.

"I'm bored to sitting in my room....I'm not allowed to do so many things that I loved doing.... why? Why am I like this now?" Lady Lyenisa said softly, looking over at Corus.

"Corus's heart mourned for the girl. "I cannot answer that for you, for I do not know who is behind this." And I'll kill them when I do, he thought. "Sit and I'll lessen the pain." He was right when he told Maddy that the girl was suffering.

Lyenisa sat down. "Thank you Corus... I just miss being able to do so much..."

"I know my lady. Some day I'll have to take you to the local tavern, there is a woman there you would enjoy talking to." Corus said as he used his powers to disinigrate some of the toxins in her body.

"Mmmm.... thank you Corus..." she said looking at him. "And... really? To the tavern? But... father...."

"When your a bit stringer we will discuss it, but for now you are too weak to the the palace. Plus I believe the Prince Dunmire is to visit soon." Corus said, waiting for the princess's reaction.

"Prince Dunmire?"

"The Prince of the Griffin Kingdom, will be here for the annual Midwinter Ball. One in which your father wants you to make an appereance at." Corus had plans for the two royal children, but that was only once the girl was better. She had become like a child to him.

"The ball... but Corus... how could I make an appearance? If I did... I'd just be sitting in a chair like this, unable to do much for father's fear for my health...." she said, looking down.

Corus sent her a wrinckled smile. "I've taken percautions to secure you health, plus get you out Early." Meaing Corus threatened her father he'd leave his postion as his advisor, which worked like a charm. The girl's father id care, but wanted his family to seem strong as to keep the peace. Greedy jerk.

"Thank you Corus.... that is very kind of you..." she said with a smile.

"Your welcome my lady. Now you should get some rest I have earns to run." Corus left the princess alone.

Lady Lyenisa stood up, and headed to off towards her room.

After The king had walked out of the thrown room Evan sat and stared at Corus from the steps in front of the thrown chairs. He had gotten what he wanted, but at a price. "Why in the world does he want me to do this?"

Corus watched the biy, after all he was still very young. "You are going to be king, and if the princess dies her sister will rule, unless the Lyenisa marries. Then her husband will; however, if you do marry her then you will rule both kingdoms. The can be the cause of war with Roc."

Eyes watched from a vent in a high wall.

"But the why has the king ordered me to kill." Evan asked. He didn't understand why the death of someone he cares about is the way he can gain his disires.

"Life is as it is. The king is being manipilated by someone and i'm going to find out who." Corus didn't take lightly the bumbs in his plans. "I'll get her to go some were safe out side this kingdom."

A young man, the bard from the ball, stepped out into the open. "Lady Lyenisa is in danger?"

Evan looked at the man with surorise. "What no. Not unless she can shapeshift." Evan was told that to marry Princess Lyenisa he had to radicate all shapeshifters from the kingdom, which included Maddy.

Corus was amused by the look on the Prince's face. "The princes is fine, well as fine as her illness will let her be. Whi might you be? I've never seen you before in the palace."

"I know that Lady Lyenisa is plagued by that mysterious illness... I have sat with her for many night singing and playing ballads....since she invited me here to the palace... giving me a place to live....." the young man said.

Evan felt a sting of jealousy through his vains. "I'm glad people have been there for her. When we are married I'll have to keep that in mind."

Corus found the situation amusing. The prince was obviously jealous of the man infront of them. "I'll ask again, what is your name?"

"My name is...Sage.... I am from...was from a village near the edge of the kingdom.... I had been traveling for a while... until I met the Lady...." said Sage. "Sire..." he said addressing Evan, "I have only played for her to help her sleep at night.... once she is asleep....I leave her... please, Sire do not think that I see her as more than a friend...."

"I remember you know." Evan said. "You mean a great deal to the princess. I apologize for my rudeness. I've had a great shock though." He didn't know what he was supost to do.

"YOur going to do as the king says." Corus told the man. "Onec I have Maddy out of the kigdom." He wasn't sure if she was ever going to forgive Evan or him for killling her own kind. Luckly there were only a few of them in the kkingdom.

"The young woman that was friendly with the Lady?" questioned Sage.

"Actually you maybe able to help us." Corus said, thinking if the secret room he knew the princess had for him. "Yes the woman that the princess was with is in danger. Would you let her hind out in your room for a bit?"

Sage hide his surprise. "I can, Sire..." Sage said politely with a bow.

sage and go to the inn and gather Maddy. However, make usre no one knows it is the prince gathering her. I don't need you to be found out when your supost to be killing her." Corus said.

"Yes sir. I'll be as discreat as possable." Evan got up and beckond for the other man to follow him. "We should get this done before my engagment is announced, and the annilation of all were animals in the kingdom."

Sage looked between the two of them. "So you would have to kill me as well...." he stated softly. (Sage is half human/half shapeshifter-wildcat)

Evan lookedat Corus with worry. "What the hell are we supost to do aout this?" There was no way the princess would forgive him if he killed her friend.

Corus thought about it then a bright idea came to him. "Go get Maddy then have Sage, I do believe that was your name, and Maddy to the island."

Evan paled, "YOu mean THE ISLAND?" It was a very risky move.

Sage looked at the prince and Corus with confusion, and then somberly said, "I am thinking that it may have been a bad move to come out of the tunnels.... seeing as how you reacted to what Corus said, Prince Evan.... I went on faith.... and I would normally only trust the Lady....."

" I swear you wont be harmed, but I can only promise you that if you leave. Things are amiss and your kind are abiut to be stuck in the middle. Trust me when I say you need to hide before things get truely ugly. And Evan if any harm comes to Maddy I will kill you." She was the only thing he truely cared about any more. After his wife and daughter died he, himself, lost heart.

"Yes sir. Come on Sage. It's going to take us a while to talk Maddy into leaving her Inn." Evan started to pull on the man's arm. "She's at Willow Inn and Tavern"

Sage followed Evan. "I'll follow.... and I have already seen and experienced the troubles of being half human...."

Humming hapily the Queen walked through the main hall, talking to a scribe about some chores that needed to be done in the gardens, humming quietly while she was thinking then talking quietly to the scribe.

Evan grumbled as he walked back into the Palace. He was so worried about talking to Corus he missed the scribe that was right in front of him. "I'm so sorry." Evan said as he helped the scribe up. "Oh Your majesty."

Nodding slowly Elisia slowly nodded and smiled "Evan, you planning on knocking down all of my staff today or happy with just the one? Smiling slightly and giggling quietly. "How goes things?"

Evan was unsure how to respond to the woman, even though she was going to be his mother in law." I thank you for your husband agreeing to my marrage to your daughter."

Smiling slighly more and laughing a little Elisia just pat the boys shoulder genly. "Yes dear, we have heard it before but how goes things? how are you? are you feeling well?" Walking a bit forwords and inclining her head for him to walk with her.

Evan sighed, knowing that the talk with Corus was going to have to be prolonged. "I'm well your highnes. Over all things are going good. I will have to return to my kingdom shortly, but I will return in time to wed the lady. I just don't understand why the king wants all Were animals destroyed and ran out of Phoenix."

Nodding slowly and frowning sligtly Elisia turned quickly to the left and stopped stairing at the corradoor that led to her husband's office. "Hmmm I have not heard of this... I will speek to him, I wish you well on your trip back to your kingdom and wish you a speedy return. You can carry on with what you were doing before I diverted you, good bye."

Evan swollowed and bowed. "My lady." He would like to say he didnt run for it, but he did. Now onto an ungly converation with Corus.

Lady Lyenisa walked into the main hall. She looked around the room as if in search of something or someone. "Mother? Are you here?" she called softly.

Walking quickly from the Kings office, Elisia brightened slightly at the sight of her daughter. "Lyenisa! how are you today?" smiling and opening her arms.

Lyenisa smiled, and went to her mother's open arms, hugging her. "Mother... I... I am doing good... mother.... Prince Evan...Evan.... has asked me to marry him...."

"Calm yourself dear, what are you trying to say?" Elisia brushed her hair and looked down at her daughter.

"Mother....Evan has asked for my hand in marriage...." Lyenisa said more calmly.

Nodding slowly Elisia grinned. "He informed me of it already, Im supposing you said yes?" playing with her daughters hair slowly.

"Really he did?" Lyenisa asked looking up at her. "That's wonderful... but.... mother... Evan said that Father as asked him to do something...something terrible before he can fully have my hand in marriage...."

Nodding slowly and patting her daughters head. "I know, I know. I was trying to find him to have a word, Its crazy that he ask Evan to do that. I dare say I can approve of your fathers judgement." frowning ever so slightly and obiously trying to think of where he could be.

"You know that Father as asked Evan to kill the werecreatures of the kingdom? Mother...I have a friend that is half werecreature and half human, I don't want to lose that friend...the kingdom would lose the best bard I have ever heard play...." Lyenisa said softly.

Elisia nodded once and hugged her daughter closer. "I know dearest and I will have a word with your father as soon as I can find him, he is quite elusive these days. I believe it is because he knows I am not happy with his decisions." frowning slightly, the queen was getting a little peeved with her husband.

The King at that time was in the courtyard 2

"Maybe he is in the Courtyard...." Lady Lynesia said softly.

"Maybe, just maybe...he could quite happily be suspended from the ceiling... he will be soon anyway." charging off gracefully towards the courtyard, Elisia forgot she was still holding her daughters hand, quite firmly too.

Lady Lynesia followed as quickly as she could so as not to fall.
